Recovery is Vulnerable and Sensitive

We can be very vulnerable and sensitive as we take inventory. In Step 10 we have already been through quite a lot of recovery and now we’re focusing quite a lot on our feelings.

The movie A Star is Born demonstrates the vulnerability of someone who has just gone through a rehabilitation program. The person is tender, vulnerable and sensitive.

We in recovery know that this person needs a lot of love to get through what he has uncovered during his stay in treatment. In this movie, a person in this position is told right after a successful stint in treatment, basically that his life is and has been worthless and terribly destructive to his loved one. Sadly this vulnerable, sensitive, sober person could not take this and he ended his life!
