Seeking Emotional Sobriety


If we are balanced, we will experience various kinds of sobriety. How do I become balanced?

Sharing feelings with a trusted person, as they happen, often takes away the intensity of the emotion! What could happen next may be avoided.

This practice of taking personal inventory daily is what Sharing The Burden Members focus on during October each year. It teaches us to keep current so that resentments are not created and buried to take root!

We also forgive others as quickly, when they offend us.

Keeping up-todate with the handling of our emotions can result in emotional sobriety which makes the seeking of escape UNNECESSARY! Substance or compulsive behavior may be held off for now!

Step 10 is a daily way of life. Sharing the burden members believe that the current person can truly live in the moment and she or he is available for others NOW!
